Illustrated Books, Cards and Prints

I come from the Peak District and after college left Derbyshire to enjoy a wonderfully varied, professional career. I started in Hospitality moved onto Retail then seven years training in Art/Illustration. I now live in Harlow, Essex (sculpture town and birthplace of fibre optics) where I am privileged to manage the Gibberd Gallery for the town.

Key Influences

Picasso for his line, Samuel Palmer for atmosphere, Toulouse Lautrec, Cy Twombly and Jackson Pollock for their lively and exciting approaches and not least Kurt Jackson’s collage and seascapes.

My Work

Commended Work “Red Dress” in permanent collection, The Gibberd Gallery, Mayors Chambers, Harlow 2010

“Green Deer”, published in Artists & Illustrators magazine 2010

Published book 2010 “Max and Zebedee” by P. Prodger. (ISBN – 978-0-9565011-2-7)

I have a broad range of interests so its sometimes hard to be focussed; currently I am exploring movement for an exhibition using images of local athletes. I start with sketches and develop with mixed media.  I always enjoy creating images of people and want to spend more time capturing expressions of individuals that fascinate me through portraiture.

I specialise in Books, Art cards and limited edition giclee prints. I carry out commissions and have work in collections in Heritage shops and Galleries.
